Why Did Jesus Die? And Where, When, And How Did Jesus Die?

Why did Jesus die? He died to save us from our sins. Sin separated Adam and Eve from their face to face communion with God, and their home in the Garden of Eden. When they lived in the garden of Eden, God instructed them not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. However the serpent, the devil in disguise, deceived Eve into disobeying God, and she ate the fruit. Eve then got Adam to eat the fruit. Sin entered the world through them, and the penalty for sin is eternal death. But God loved his human family, and God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, set up a plan to save mankind. Why did Jesus die? He died as our substitute. God the Son, would pay the penalty for all of the sins of the human race. In the meantime mankind were required to sacrifice animals as substitutes for their sins. Even though these animal sacrifices had to be perfect, without blemishes, they were not perfect enough to obtain eternal salvation for us. Instead they pointed to the perfect sacrifice of God the Saviour who would come -- the Messiah. Why did Jesus die? He died to shed his blood for us. The bible states in Hebrews that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness for sin. The blood of goats and calves was not sufficient to provide eternal salvation for us, since it had to be shed continually. Christ shed his blood, and it only had to be done once. Christ' death and shedding of blood also shows us the severity of the consequences of sin. After Jesus died, one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and blood and water came out. Now sinners can bow in repentance and ask for forgiveness, while Christ intercedes on our behalf in the Temple in Heaven. How did Jesus die? Jesus was flogged, had a crown of thorns place on his head, and was then nailed to a cross. This cross was then placed between 2 other crosses, with criminals on them. After suffering on the cross for 6 hours, Jesus gave up his own life. Luke 23:46 (KJV) says, "and when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost." Where did Jesus die? Jesus died on Mt Calvary, or Golgotha - the Place of the Skull, just outside of the city of Jerusalem. Jesus started out carrying his cross from Pilot's judgment hall in Jerusalem to Mt. Calvary, but collapsed from weakness caused by his beatings. Simon, a Cyrenian, was then made to carry the cross the rest of the way. When did Jesus die? Jesus died on Friday at the 9th hour, which would be 3:00 p.m., before the coming of the Jewish Sabbath. The Jewish Sabbath started at sunset Friday to Sunset Saturday. Jesus was about 33 1/2 years old when he died. And according to the prophecies of Daniel, Jesus died around 31 A.D. Why did Jesus die? He died for you and for me.
